Lake Macquarie Landcare Network Organisation
Lake Macquarie Landcare Network Incorporated (LMLN Inc) is the business arm of the Lake Macquarie Landcare Network. and provides support to the Lake Macquarie Landcare Community. It has an Executive/Committee management structure which provides the following support structures:
- Promote Landcare throughout the Lake Macquarie area and encourage partnerships between all levels of government, Landcare groups and their community;
- Assist member groups in applying for and administering sponsorship;
- Provide insurance for unincorporated groups not covered by Council structures;
- Assist in the day-to-day running of the Lake Macquarie Landcare Resource Office which is an asset of Lake Macquarie City Council;
- Employ an Administration/Payroll Officer to manage the business of the Network, and an Administration Assistant to edit and publish the Council funded Urban Landcarer newsletter;
- Provide a framework to employ suitably qualified contractors to assist Landcare groups with their projects, undertake community support projects and to implement bushland rehabilitation projects across the city.
Lake Macquarie Landcare Network meetings are held on a regular basis, on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, from 3.30pm to 5.30pm at the Meeting Room of the Landcare Resource Centre.
The Network has recently obtained Tax Deductible Status, which means it can now accept tax-deductible donations and sponsorship to further assist the Lake Macquarie Landcare community.
